Hey, guys! Since the start of the blog, I’ve changed a few things that you may or may not have noticed. So, I thought I’d do kind of an update in the form of a post to let you guys in on all the changes.
I love my pair of suede wedges I got a couple years ago. But, over time I quickly realized they stain kind of easily. Keeping them in tip-top shape seemed unrealistic until I found a couple of at-home methods to use to get them to be in their prime again.
Check out these tips to clean your suede shoes, whether they’re real or synthetic.
Summer is the time for road trips, vacations and playing tourist in neighboring cities. But do you know exactly what to put in your suitcase for your destination? Instead of bringing a multitude of different outfits, take a look at what clothing and accessories to bring to the common getaway spots.
Throughout the year there are sales galore. Sales for shoes, shirts, skirts… Other items that don’t start with the letter ‘s’… You get the point.
But there are two things you should never pay full price for and if you do… Stop right now! There are some pretty good reasons why that I’ll explain later.
First, let’s see if you can guess which items I’m talking about. Who doesn’t love a good guessing game?
Here we go!
First clue: These items are technically a necessity.
The following content that you are about to read is based on a true story involving yours truly.
Did that get your attention? I think serious tones always work.
Anyway, here’s the story.
I was walking with the love of my life back to his place. We were laughing, talking, taking in the scenery when I looked to the left of him and saw something in the road. It was a Michael Kors handbag. Just lying there. No one around, no soul in sight. What?!
It’s summer! But who didn’t know that already? If the sweltering heat didn’t give it away, I don’t know what will.
Anyway, with the heat comes one dreaded word: damage. Skin damage, hair damage, and scalp damage.
When you think about it, our hair gets affected the same way as our skin does. It gets dry, itchy and sunburned. And not to mention when you go for a dip in the pool, the chlorine strips your hair and scalp of its natural oils. Then, you lay out in the sun to dry off, causing even further damage from harsh sun rays.
To prevent harmful UV and chlorine damage, follow this simple formula for a protective routine to use next time you visit the pool or spend the day outside.
We all know how job interviews work; we’re nervous, anxious, a million thoughts (and doubts) are rushing through our brains. Did I wear the right outfit? Do I look “professional” enough? What if my credentials aren’t enough?
Many articles and books state that the outfit you wear can depict what the interviewer thinks of you and can often tell the kind of worker you are. But I think one crucial detail that is often overlooked is makeup. The first impression they see is you as a whole, or in other words, how you look and what you’re wearing. But what about the second impression? It’s your face. When they go in for the handshake and make eye contact, they take notice of your makeup.
To remain professional-like, you don’t want to go overboard with a full blown heavy eye and lip. My suggestion would be a natural look with a bold lip. You want to call attention to your mouth so the interviewer really listens to your awesome, thoughtful answers.
While fall is only 241 days away (did you like how I tried making it sound like less time by adding the word ‘only’?), we still have to suffer in the blistering heat for another 240 days. And while we break out the shorts and crop tops, it’s now time to break out the makeup to cover blemishes, sunburns and to keep us looking good while we sweat it out.
But what happens when that makeup we thought was foolproof fails? You know how it goes–foundation streaks down your cheeks, raccoon eyes develop from runny mascara and eyeliner, smudged lipstick because we accidentally wiped it away… It’s so embarrassing…
Let’s stop the madness of worrying about our makeup and annoying those around us because we can’t put down the mirror or we’re constantly asking them if everything is still in place. Now it’s time for a game plan that involves an effortless look with minimal effort.
I’ve only been blogging for a few months now (I started in April of 2017) but in those few months of blogging, I can honestly say I learned a lot.
I don’t know how many articles I read about starting a blog, but nothing can prepare you better than actually making a blog, designing it and learning everything from scratch. Every blog is different, every person is different. I get so flustered with some articles because they make it seem like such a breeze and when you’re actually in the game, you realize it’s nothing like a breeze. It’s more like a harsh, cold whip of wind.
So, whether you’re just starting a blog or had one for a while now, I thought I’d share some of the things I picked up on in my first few months of blogging.
Take a look!
Ladies, let’s face it; as much as we would love to have all the shoes in the world, there’s not enough money in the world to support our shoe-loving habit. And frankly, we’re living in a world where downsizing is key and being a minimalist is all the rage.
So, where can we meet in the middle? I say we can have our shoes and wear them too, with this curated list of all the shoes needed for any occasion!
